Our Staff

The most important asset we have at Silk Cat is our staff. Greg has over 35 years working in the automotive trade and started working on cars in his father’s shop as a teenager. Greg’s uncle also ran an automotive shop, so this really is a family business. Greg is the person you’ll most often be dealing with when you come to visit Silk Cat, although he sometimes gets the “bug” and crawls under a car to get his hands dirty. Elisabet  joined Silk Cat full time a few years after Silk Cat first opened its doors. Elisabeth handles all of the “business” aspects of Silk Cat which frees up a little time for Greg to go “play” with the cars in the shop.

Bill is a fully licensed mechanic (he received his Journeyman’s Ticket in 1983) and has been with Silk Cat for over 18 years. Bill has extensive experience working with all types of British cars including Jaguar, Land Rover, Austin, MG, Triumph and Lotus along with other makes such as Morgan and BMC. Bills experience with these vehicles allows him to quickly diagnose the various problems that are particular to each make. He has literally “seen it all” having worked on countless examples over the years. Bills experience is not limited to British cars exclusively. He also has experience with Saab and Volvo, and of course, with Domestic and Asian automobiles. Regardless of the complexity of your problem, Bill is able to perform the work with the utmost attention to detail.

Russell is a fully licensed Automotive Technician and carries his Red Seal Certification, as well as his BC Inspection Certificate. Russell has been with Silk Cat Automotive Specialists since 2005. He pays great  attention to detail and cares not only for our customers but also for the performance of their vehicles. His experience on British and European cars has made him a valuable asset  to our team. He is always eager to learn more in order to improve his skills in the  advanced technologies in  the cars of today.

Manuel joined us at the beginning of  last year from Germany. He holds both a Master Technician Certificate and a Master school of engineering Certificate. With more than 13 years experience he brings with him completely up to date knowledge of all German Auto Products. Manuel is a great asset to Silk Cat Automotive, employing  his multiple talents to keep your vehicles running at top performance. We are pleased that he shares his enthusiasm and knowlede with the rest of the staff and is falling in love with Vancouver & planning to stay for the long haul.

 Robb will be the one to most likely greet you when you first come through the doors at Silk Cat. Robb grew up in North Vancouver &  is now raising his own family on the North Shore, pleased that he no longer needs to the leave the North Shore to pursue  his career. Robb comes with many years experience in service advising and parts sourcing after working with MCL Motor cars for 14 years as a service adviser. Robb is an advanced Jaguar technician and tower operator & has many years experience with Land Rovers and Aston Martins, specializing in parts replacement. He is here to assist you along with Greg. We are confidant that he will exceed your expectations for all your motor vehicle needs, bringing a new dynamic and wealth of information to Silk Cat Automotive and it’s customers.
